  139. I think I may have had the misfortune of discovering a bug in Quipu
  140. and wanted to check with other Camayocs to see if anyone else has
  141. run into this problem.  Here's the scoop:
  142.  
  143. For historical reasons I won't dig into at the moment, my organization
  144. is registered in the White Pages with a two-component RDN under c=US,
  145. specifically "c=US@o=Martin Marietta%st=Maryland."  Except for the
  146. problem of constantly getting my fingers tangled up trying to type all
  147. that, this has worked well up to this point.  However, I'm in the
  148. process of trying to add a level-2 DSA by the name of
  149. "c=US@o=Martin Marietta%st=Maryland@cn=Florida Panther."
  150.  
  151. The best I can figure, Quipu is tripping over the percent sign that is
  152. used to separate the two components of the second RDN.  Notice the
  153. following records from the log, in particular the name of the DSA
  154. that "has started" in the last record.

  172. The next thing that happens is I get a message stating that the DSA
  173. "has a problem."  Then it aborts and writes out core dump.
  174.  
  175. After puzzling over this for a while (and pulling a few hairs out) I 
  176. tried bringing it up with a name that doesn't include any two-component
  177. RDNs, namely "c=US@o=Martin Marietta@cn=Florida Panther."  Guess
  178. what -- it worked!  (Since there's no entry anywhere for "c=US@o=Martin
  179. Marietta" I get all kinds of interesting side effects when I try to 
  180. navigate the tree, but that's beside the point.  The only difference
  181. between the scenario that worked and the one that didn't work was
  182. the two component RDN.

  316.         operations are cached.

  358.         masterDSA attribute refers to "this" DSA.  Eventually
  359.         need to do this.

  452. DESCRIPTION:    If a connection dies whilst the get_edb operation is
  453.         being process, dsa_wait() is called.  If this
  454.         connection happens to be the same as the connection
  455.         the get_edb op is comming in on, then sometimes there
  456.         will be a core dump (depends on how malloc/free are
  457.         doing!).  The quick fix (here) is to stop dsa_wait()
  458.         being called.   The better solution would be to inform
  459.         dsa_wait of the connetion we are using, and provide
  460.         the call backs to tidy up properly.  Too much work for
  461.         now, but will hav to do it if not calling dsa_wait()
  462.         prooves to be a problem - it will cause the DSA to
  463.         block for a few moments longer during an update, but
  464.         its difficult to predict if this will be too long to
  465.         cause time out problems.

  694. This patch forces DISH to remove the draftfile after a modify failure
  695. if there is a photo attribute.  This works around the problem.
